Timetable | Positions | Standing | Campaigning | How to vote | Election packs | FAQs | Committees | Jargon Standing in an election can be a bit daunting, so please take the time to have a look at the stages so that you can prepare yourself for what comes next Registration form (this deadline has now passed) The process to register your self as a candidate to stand in the election begins on Monday 22nd February through to Monday 15th March 12.00pm (Midday). Simply download and fill in the registration form and hand it back into the Students’ Union or send it by email to studentsunion@city.ac.uk . You will also need to hand in a manifesto and photo but this can be emailed or handed by Monday 15th March 12.00pm (Midday). If you are standing as a Full Time Officer you will also need to complete a Declaration of Interest Form. Campaigning Campaigning starts on Wednesday 17th March. YOU ARE NOT allowed to begin campaigning until this date and you have attended the Candidates Training Meeting on Monday 15th March Room AG07 6.00pm -7.00pm. Candidates Question Time Question Time is when candidates are asked question by the student body on why they should vote for you. Full Time Officer Candidates will be given the opportunity to make a short speech and students standing in the Part Time Officer roles will be given the opportunity to answer questions put to them. Voting Voting will begin on Wednesday 24th March at 9.45am. It is open to all students who are eligible to vote and will last until the Wednesday 31st March 12.00pm (Midday). Results will be announced in the Students’ Union Main Office Northampton Square at 12.30pm.
